Presidents Report January 2019
By all accounts everyone enjoyed our annual Xmas party, even if we were pressed somewhat for space. Reports have also confirmed that the food was good and plenty to go around. Thanks must also go to Wayne for all the arranging and to Ray for stepping up to MC the evening at very short notice.
Work to Dust shed and Bandsaw Repairs
Work has commenced in replacing the doors at the dust shed at the end of the workshop. This will give us easier access to the dust filter for servicing and replacing the dust bags. Thanks to Ray for this work. Workshop supervisor Dan will be repairing the big blade bandsaw in the near future to return us to our usual 2 saws. Thanks Dan
We are currently liaising with Ambulance Victoria about acquiring a defibrillator for the club. With the hope of never needing the piece of equipment, as a local ambulance officer said you only need to use it once for it to pay for itself a hundred times over. Training will obviously be needed once we acquire the unit.
