What a great meeting on Tuesday night, thanks to John and his delightful presentation on his visit to the Guitar factory plus the great contributions from the floor of the meeting with regards to Individual and Group Leader Roles and Responsibilities. All changes have been forwarded to the secretary for endorsement at the next committee meeting – this is in-deed everyone working together as a team.
Tom for the construction of the notice board outside the cottage,
Dan for his tireless work keeping the workshop machinery in running order and to
Bevan, Dan and Ivan for their work acquiring timber for the mill.
Thanks to Shane for raising his concern regards dust See furniture report. The committee is conscious of the need to improve the air quality in the workshop/meeting room and we have been active on this front. The committee have already applies for two grants, the latest being a federal grant to provide two new cyclonic extractors. To house these machines we will need to extend the workshop by about 3 metres towards the show ground shed adjacent to our building. A meeting has taken place with the show ground president and a letter sent to the show ground society seeking their approval. Following their approval we would need to hold discussions with the local council. We are4 concerned and working on the problem.
