About Us

Albury-Wodonga Woodcrafters Inc. is a local wood crafting club with approximately 100 members and has been operating since September 1986. The club was incorporated on the 6th November 1987.

Wood Crafting interests range from Wood Turning through to Scroll Sawing, Pyrography, Carving, Furniture Making, Toy Making, Pen Making and many other facets of woodworking.

The Club operates a Woodcraft Gallery at “The Cottage Gallery” located at Unit 4, Gateway Village Wodonga. The Gallery is open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm Tuesday to Sunday and has a large and varied display of locally crafted items for sale. Recycled and salvaged timbers are extensively used.

Red Gum and Burl timber pieces are a specialty. Woodcrafting demonstrations are conducted regularly at numerous local functions. A few of these are the Albury Show, Wodonga Rural Expo, Craft Alive Expo in Wodonga and Chiltern Ironbark Festival.

Woodturning, Pyrography and Scroll Sawing demonstrations are held at “The Cottage Gallery” to coincide with the Farmers Markets that are held every second Saturday at the Gateway Village Island Complex. Regular workshop days are held weekly in the Clubrooms Workshop.

Some of these Special Interest Groups are Wood Turning, Scroll Sawing, Furniture Making, Carving & Intarsia, Box Making, Pen Making and Pyrography.

General Meetings of the club are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.00 pm at the Clubrooms. A Club Newsletter containing general news, notices and the minutes is published monthly.

The Clubrooms and Workshop are located at the Wodonga Showgrounds, Wilson Street Wodonga 3690


The aim of the Club is to promote, foster and practice the art of all forms of woodworking.

If your interested in Woodworking members of the Albury Wodonga Woodcrafters Club enjoy many benefits. Including access to the club’s facilities including workshop and machinery – after safety and competence induction.
Clubhouse rooms are located at the Wodonga show grounds a wide range of machinery including lathes, drop saws, table saws, planers, jointers and routers plus a myriad of hand-tools are available to our members.
In addition our milling team collects suitable logs from around the district and cuts these into slabs, turning blanks and lumber for use by our members.

Demonstrations and instruction in woodworking techniques. A congenial atmosphere where help and advice is only an ask away.

Visit Our Club
Our club welcomes visitors and anyone interested in timber whether it is the woodworking techniques or to see fine items made from different species of Australian timber. There are also many items for sale in the clubs cottage showroom on the Lincoln Causeway.
