We are now into February and several things have been happening around the workshop, if you haven’t been to the workshop recently please do so and see the changes. Before I go on too far a special thank you to Peter Hurcum for a generous donation of a bag of insulation for the extension again thank you Peter. We do need more insulation so we can finish the lining of the walls. At the moment we are running a working bee on every Monday morning, so if you have a couple of hours to spare please come along and help. We have had steady progress with the moving of the machines and also a bit of cleaning up from where the machines were and now in their new homes. The next major work will be the moving of the tool storeroom, many hands make light work. There are plenty of jobs to be done around the outside of the shop as well as on the inside, so if you can help please do so.
We have been asked by the supply office at Latchford Barracks to make a new honour board this will not be a one-off as they will be needing to replace several boards over the next few years. I will be drawing up detailed plans for this project which will be available soon.
Hoping to see you at the general meeting on Tuesday the 21st of February at 6pm. For a Subway dinner, there is a sheet in the workshop and at the Cottage so come along and join in.
Martin Lawley.
