Hello again members,
hope everyone is OK, although a few are struggling at the moment with covid and other issues. I wish you a speedy and complete recovery. Lots happening around the club at present, with the new extension completed and paid for, the fit-out is underway. We will be calling for volunteers as we proceed, with the first call to help Dan with the electrical fit-out next week at this stage. Just depends on getting some materials to complete the job. Watch for a notice to come.
The order for 200 pens in boxes has been completed about 6 weeks ahead of schedule, thanks to a great effort by the group leaders involved and the really good teams each brought to the task. Well done to all (about 30 or so) involved, we could not have done it without your help. This has provided a very welcome and substantial boost to our bank account, which will make the workshop makeover that much easier. The BBQ at Bunnings Albury was a great success as well and e have been promised more at this venue in the future.
We are enjoying a steady influx of new members. Always good to have new members join, fresh faces, and a very warm welcome to all. Remember, the more you put into your club, the more you get out of it, and we look forward to seeing you t different groups and activities.
As this is the last monthly report I will give before the AGM in October, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the committee for the great effort put in this past year. It has been a very busy year, with lots of important decisions to be worked through, along with drastically falling attendance both in the workshop and at the monthly meetings to contend with. Thanks covid, and thanks to a cold and wet winter these last few months. Special thanks to those whose advice I sought as the year went on, I could not have done it without you.
Thanks,
Ivan
